Whenever you
create any post for your blog, URL for your post picks title description of that
post and add it to your website link and that becomes the URL for that post.

So by default your
URL for this post will be :
https://myhappylifehacks.blogspot.com/2020/08/How-to-write-a-blog.html
Now in above
created URL you will see many characters are added which are not SEO Friendly
in terms of google search engine
2020/08 - Date added by default to all your post so leave this as
it is.
However, words
like "to", "A", "How"
are not helping to optimize your SEO process. Words like "to",
"a", "and" etc are called stop words and we need to avoid these words in URL

provides a solution for this issue through one feature called "Permalink". Let's see how we
can modify our URL to make it more user friendly.
Navigate to your blogger login as below:
Open your
post for which you want to update this URL.
In this case
our post name is "How do you create your first blog on blogger.com"
On right hand side column you will see the " Permalink" option and this is displaying the current URL
Currently it
is not editable so we need to make it editable by reverting our post from
publish to draft.
"Custom Permalink"
Copy your current URL as below:
https://myhappylifehacks.blogspot.com/2020/08/How-to-write-a-blog.html
Now select
"Custom Permalink" option and enter URL of your choice as below "first-blog-blogger" and you can
copy this new URL as below:
https://myhappylifehacks.blogspot.com/2020/08/first-blog-blogger.html
New URL:
https://myhappylifehacks.blogspot.com/2020/08/first-blog-blogger.html
Now come back to your Blogger dashboard -->Settings-->Custom Redirects
Now click on
"ADD" to add a new custom link for this post
Under " From" You need to add old URL as below, no need to copy the domain name
2020/08/How-to-write-a-blog.html
Under "
To" you need to add new custom URL as below, no need to copy the domain name
2020/08/first-blog-blogger.html
and enable
" Permanent" option as below and click "OK"
