Vegetable Poha Cutlet Recipe:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup thick poha
  • 2 tsp curd (optional)
  • 1 medium-size finely chopped onion
  • 1 small size boiled potato
  • 1 tbsp rice flour
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 2-3 finely chopped green chilies 
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 
  • salt to taste
  • oil for shallow fry
  • 1 to 2 teaspoon of roasted gram flour or sattu
  • pinch of black pepper 

Preparation: 

Step 1:  Take the required quantity of poha in a strainer and place it under running water so  that all impurities are washed away. Then soak poha in water and add curd in a large bowl, & leave it for an hour.

Step 2: After an hour, the poha will be puffed and mashy. Add all spices and ingredients one by one, mix properly and shape them into flat kebabs.

Step 3: take a heavy bottom flat nonstick pan, heat it up properly, sprinkle little oil for shallow fry. Place poha tikkis over it and fry it until it turns nice & crisp. flip it and fry on the other side too.

Step 4: Once done,remove from heat and serve with your favorite chutney, sauce or dip.
